Body Contouring

With Body Contouring, you can add or reduce mass where desired. Liposuction, Tummy Tucks, Fat Transfer and Breast Augmentation are common procedures to shape and sculpt the body. Your physician may give you additional options.

Liposuction:
Liposuction sculpts the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. There are several different methods of performing Liposuction, but the basic procedure involves making a tiny incision, inserting a narrow tube, or cannula, and vacuuming the fat that lies beneath the skin. Candidates for liposuction are anyone within a normal weight range who has firm, elastic skin with areas of excess fat they wish to be removed.

Tummy Tucks:
Abdominoplasty, commonly known as a Tummy Tuck, is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten the muscle of the abdominal wall. This creates a firmer, flatter abdomen and narrows the waistline.

Breast Augmentation:
During Breast Augmentation surgery, the breast is supplemented with implants designed to look and feel like actual breast tissue. A visible change is immediate, and final results are seen once swelling diminishes and the implants settle, usually within a few weeks. Today''s implants are filled with a saline solution that is harmlessly absorbed into the body should a break occur. Breast Augmentation is the most popular plastic surgery among women.

Fat Transfer:
In a Fat Transfer, your own fat is removed from one area of the body and injected into another part to achieve a plumping effect. The donor site is usually the abdomen, buttocks or thighs. This fat is harvested with a needle and then purified before being injected into the recipient site. Results may last as long as three years.
