Dr Nakano grew up in Atlanta, GA. For his undergraduate studies, he attended Duke University and then completed his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine. After medical school, he obtained his plastic surgery training at the Louisiana State University Medical Center.
After completion of his plastic surgery training, he sought additional craniofacial training at the highly regarded University of Toronto Hospital for Sick Children. He has been in private practice in Norfolk, Virginia and was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School. In 1992, he joined Prima Center for Plastic Surgery. Dr. Nakano is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Gwinnett-Forsyth Medical Society, and Medical Association of Georgia. His current hospital staff memberships include Gwinnett Medical Center and Emory Johns Creek Hospital.
Dr. Nakano is known for his compassionate and friendly demeanor. He has broad knowledge and expertise in many areas of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He has consistently been named one of the top plastic surgeons in Atlanta by Atlanta Magazine and is sought after for speaking engagements. He has a special interest in post bariatric body contouring, cosmetic surgery of the face and body, for breast enlargement and breast reconstruction.
